This is my blog post on what I did on my two-day trip to
London
On Thursday 25th July I went to the Barbican Theatre in
the evening and saw a performance of the musical Kiss
Me Kate, it was outstanding with its cast especially Adrian
Dunbar, Stephanie J Block, Charlie Stemp, Nigel Lindsey,
Peter Davison and Alex Lodge who were all outstanding
in it, the sets on the revolving stage and the music &
songs like Brush Up Your Shakespeare, Too Darn Hot,
Another Opening Another Show and Overture, gave the
show a standing ovation during the curtain call five stars
ten out of ten and then afterwards I got some selfies,
signatures and hugs from some of the cast including
Adrian, Stephanie, Alex Lodge (he knows one of my
friends Helen Jane Bates from Lincoln) and Charlie
Stemp (who knows me about the release of the filmed
performance of Half a Sixpence when I sent him a letter
requesting it back in 2017 and he sent me a reply letter)
and I like the Barbican Theatre but it’s a bit hectic finding
your way round it.
And then on Friday 26th July I went to the Gielgud
Theatre in the morning where I handed in my CV on
working there being front of house during Oliver, I worked
front of house at the New Theatre Royal in Lincoln from
November 2022 to May 2024 so it's high time I took to the
big leagues with Delfont Mackintosh Theatres in London
fingers crossed if I do get the job of working front of
house at the Gielgud.
